In celebration of the Fourth of July, Roush Performance released some figures about just where the parts for their 2010 Roush Mustang come from. The Mustang isn't entirely American made, but it does clock in at 86%, which, if you consider the growing trend towards globalization in the past few decades, is an incredibly high number. At the Ford Racing Invitational a few days back, Ford showed off a 2010 Mustang GT that was equipped with a new intake manifold developed by Ford Racing. The new manifold fits the company's modular V8 and is going through testing right now with an estimated sales date of this fall, and a price around $650. Why bother with this new manifold? The Mid-America Ford Shelby Meet is scheduled for June 24-28 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Classic Design Concepts (CDC) will be making a big showing there. They will have their range of aftermarket Mustang products, like their Shaker hood system, (for model years 1994-2010) that you can buy, and on Saturday the 27th and Sunday the 28th, CDC technicians will be on hand to install your mods for you.
